Figured it's been awhile since I've given a detailed update... So here it is...
Of course I have to start with Paris :) she's becoming even more of a little fashionista. Loves hats, usually worn backwards, loves having her own bags, purses, luggage, etc. Shes mimicking me and talking more and more every day... She even repeated me saying a bad word for the first time... I had good reason but still, shame on me lol. It was a wake up call to really watch what I say. She now grunts and whines when I'm playing a song she doesn't like. She is learning words to songs that she does like. Her two favorites are Ellie Goulding "burn" and Lorde "glory and gore" and I have to play them every time we're in the car. Needless to say I'm sick of them but what can ya do lol. Still quite the dancer as well. She's been having a hard time cutting molars and it's been no fun for mom as well. She's becoming very particular about things. Things have to be just a certain way, and always clean.. If not She will say "eww" which is cute but this is a sure tell that she is indeed my child, OCD and all. She's starting to like more foods, and has decided shed rather go back to the baby days of eating without a fork or spoon and rather use her whole face lol. I let her have her time of being a kid though, plus it's fun to watch. Recently I took her to best buy. On the new uhdtv display they were showing an old football game. I didn't even notice until Paris started yelling in excitement, "foobaaa foobaaa." She yelled the same thing when she accidentally opened my Denver broncos app on my iPad. Such a proud moment for me lol. Especially the part about the broncos ;) We experienced her first of what I'm sure will be many public tantrums. She was upset that I wouldn't give her a doughnut in the gas station rather than bagging it til we got home. I couldn't believe she acted the way she did, screaming in the middle of the floor... But I feel I handled it well. I can feel the terrible twos quickly approaching lol, but she's still a good little girl who's lots of fun... She just likes to get her way haha.
As for me... I've just been enjoying my last couple weeks in Vegas. We moved out of our favorite house in rhodes ranch and are just staying with a friend til we leave to denver. I was sad to move out of that house... We loved it there but oh well. Moving all of our things was quite the process as well, especially in the heat. That I won't miss lol and I'm glad it's done.
I feel like I've been experiencing a lot of "lasts" lately. Last night out in Vegas with my girlfriends...
Last time at lake mead...
Last trip to our neighborhood water park
And well... Our last round trip vacation to Denver lol
Yes, a week before our move we took a trip lol. I had my 10 year high school reunion which actually turned out to be a lot of fun. I can't lie, it was weird, and I felt kind of old... But it was great to see everyone and catch up. It's fun to see who changed, who stayed the same, etc. My whole group of girls was there too... That was my favorite part :)
I also got to spend time with my family and as always that was fun too!

I've had a lot of rough patches the past couple weeks, even highly considered backing out of my move a couple times, but tried to remember the long term goals lol. I think being there in Denver helped steer me back in the right direction and helped remind me it's where i want to be. My last night there I was having a conversation with someone over dinner and he said to me that he can tell I'm the optimist type, but so much that I almost expect a perfect world. He said that I paint a picture in my head of how I think things should be, and then expect them to actually be that way, and if they aren't... Then I'm upset. He was right. It was strange for me to listen to someone, who knows me but doesn't know me extremely well, tell me about myself and be dead on like that. I always consider myself as someone that's good at just going with it... But more so when things are going my way. (You see where Paris gets it lol) I'm good at adjusting when they don't... But usually get upset first, and I do highly prefer the picture to go the way I paint it. It was just interesting he pointed that out, and somewhat eye opening... Could be something to work on :) this plays a roll in my current situation. My move has not at all gone the exact way I hoped it would, and making sacrifices and adjustments have been necessary but I haven't been the most willing. It's not the image I had in my head, which is why I've considered not doing it at all... But again, it's the long term goals I have to keep in mind, not matter how windy the road may be in getting to them.
I'm ready to be out of this phase of "in between places" and just want to get on with the next chapter. There's much to be done over the next week, but I hope it goes smoothly and quickly
My next update should be at that time ;) until then.... Xoxo
